This is an Amber or "Orange" wine style, but made in a lighter style with only 1 month of skin contact. It is a perfect introduction to the style. A bouquet of melon and cantaloupe aromas thanks to the Mtsvane, good acidity thanks to Rkatsiteli and lighter softer tannin on the finish due to less time on the skins.

Variety - 50% Rkatsiteli, 50% Mtsvane
Winemakers - Gogi Dikishivili and his son, Temur
Appellation - Kakheti, Georgia (The country, not the state)
Vineyard - Vineyards in the Kurdgelauri and Tsinandali villages in the Telavi district, on the right bank of the Alazani River
Alcohol - 12.5%
Vinification and Elevage - Fermented and made in qvevri (large clay jars buried under the ground). Aged with 1 month of skin contact. Aged for another month in stainless steel tanks before bottling.

White Blend

50% Rkatsiteli, 50% Mtsvane

White blends can include any number of different varietals and often refers to any white wine that contains more than one white grape varietal in the final product, though certain white blends can have their own designations as recognized wines despite comprising multiple grapes. However there are common complements especially in French and Italian wine making. The classic white bordeaux blend is a mixture of Semillon and Sauvignon Blanc, and occasionally includes Muscadelle and Sauvignon Gris.
