Appellation - Valdejalon, North East Spain Vineyard - Las Cellas

Alcohol - 13.5%Case Production - N/A

Vinification and Elevage - Handpicked grapes from a dry farmed, certified organic vineyard with 25 year old vines belonging to Mario’s family. The soils are clay and sandstone with some pebbles at 450 meters elevation.Wild yeast primary fermentation in stainless steel with elevage in concrete on the lees with batonnage for three months.

Grenache Blanc

Grenache blanc is a mutation on the famous varietal grenache. Hailing originally from Spain but now most commonly championed in the Rhone Valley, it is mostly found in Rhône wine blends and in northeast Spain. Its wines are characterized by high alcohol and low acidity, with citrus and or herbaceous notes. The full-bodied white wines grenache blanc produces are sometimes aged in oak to delivery toasty, creamy flavors. Pear, plum, lemon zest and honey suckle are all common flavors imparted by grenache blanc.
